foliage in coastal georgia

We just got back from a trip to St. Simons Island, GA. Of course, I took a ton of photos and will try to get the best ones posted. For now, here are some of the ones I took of the local foliage during a walk in the neighborhood where we stayed. I don’t know the names of these plants, so if any of you do, please do post in the comments!

    • Thanks! I will be posting a photo/video montage that my husband put together which turned out nice, with music. Oh! – I wanted to tell you we passed a couple of the Fatz restaurants during our drive from Ohio to Georgia. I thought of you, because you’d mentioned on another post about those restaurants from when you were younger (right? or am i totally misremembering?!?)

      • I may have mentioned Fatz restaurants, but not from when I was younger. The first one came into this area not too long ago. Still, thanks for thinking of me. LOL I like the restaurant. Did you stop and give it a try?

      • We didn’t stop to try out Fatz, unfortunately. The few I saw were from the road when it was not the “designated” stopping time, lol. The trip was 13 hours each way, so we tried to time stops for gas & food together to minimize the number of stops. We loved SSI so much, though, that I know we will go back. Maybe we can hit up one of the Fatz then.
